December 2015
"Hi! This is me, Papageno from Skåne in Sweden, crossing Abbey Road on Tuesday 15th of December 2015" |
Alan Parsons and Jeff Jarratt "Well, another year almost over. How can the time pass by so quickly! I thought I'd be a little self indulgent and add the picture above of myself and an old friend and colleague, Alan Parsons. Apart from the worldwide success he has had as an artist with his own 'Alan Parsons Project' recordings Alan is also recognised for his tremendous work and success as a recording engineer on projects such as the Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon' and as producer of hit singles such as 'Make Me Smile (Come Up And Se Me)' by Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel and 'The Year Of The Cat" by Al Stewart. The picture was taken a couple of months ago at Abbey Road Studios - where we had originally both been employed during the '60s and 70's - after one of the fascinating lectures Alan gave about the development of recording techniques - 'From Mono To Infinity'. If he does a repeat of the lectures at some time in the future I can highly recommend that anybody interested in the technical side of recording should go along. I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year....................................Jeff Jarratt" |
