| Don Lambirth is from Seattle in the USA. His love of the Beatles' music began when he was 3 years old when he remembers his Mum constantly playing the Abbey Road album. In May 2006 he got to reaslise his ambition to visit the place where it all happened. He writes: My wife didn't quite understand the fascination or obsession with me wanting to jump on 3 different subways to the other side of town just so I could bring home a pic of me on the crosswalk. She said we could just go down the street from our home and take a similar picture if that's what I wanted! But I convinced her that this was as important as seeing the Tower or the Palace or the Museums. So off she went with me. She took the photo. I wanted to do it barefoot but it was raining. We're glad you made it to St John's Wood Don. The trip to the UK wouldn't have been complete without it! Thanks for sending the photo. |
