July 2004

Kornelia and Jochen Rabstein write:

Hello from Ratingen, Germany. We have just spent 5 days in London. For us it was a MUST to CROSS Abbey Road. Here are the 2 photos of our crossing on 29th May, 2004. It was an incredible feeling walking on The Beatles roots.

Above is Kornelia.....................

...........and this is Jochen. Glad to hear that you had such a good time!

Peter Conrad [above, Crossing Over,] sent the following:

On Monday May 17, 2004, Peter & Judy Conrad from Columbus, Ohio, USA visited Abbey Road Studios at 9:00 a.m. and crossed over many, many times. This was their first visit to England and Abbey Road was their second stop after visiting Stonehenge the previous day. The following week, on Friday May 21, 2004, Peter played a solo acoustic set - which included his tribute song to George Harrison - Goodbye George, at The Cavern Club in Liverpool. The night before that, in The Cavern Pub, Peter & Judy met Steve Holly, the drummer for Paul McCartney & Wings, during their 1979 “Back To The Egg” LP & tour..............

...........and again........

.........and finally Peter back on that Crossing.

Thanks for the pictures Peter. Glad to hear that you had such a good time here. [PS Peter tells us that those interested can visit the Peter Conrad Band web site at www.PCB.freehomepage.com]

Chad and Kindyl (from Rockton, IL, USA) made their first trip to England in June 2003. Here they are at one of the highlights of their trip - Crossing Over with good friend Jenny Edgeton (the one in the middle!)

[AbbeyRoadCrossing.com owner Jeff Jarratt writes:] We had a very special visit from Switzerland by my wife's godson and his family in May 2004. Pictured above at The sign are Thomas Koerkel, his wife Tanja and - hidden away in his buggy - young Robin..........

......and here on The crossing I couldn't resist joining them for a picture for the family album........

....Well, Thomas took this at what at that time was the Abbey Road Café in the hope of getting Robin in on the picture but on that afternoon all he wanted to do was sleep, so I've added the insert taken when we got back home and he was serenading us at the piano! A future Beatle in the making???
